February 3 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The electric sewing machine was invented in 1889, 6 years before the electric drill, making it the oldest power tool! This doesn’t mean much, but it does seem like a relevant anecdote to introduce Make.Do.’s first Men-Only Sewing Class. The 4-week class will teach basic sewing skills as we “construct” a grilling apron.
Machines, fabric, and supplies are covered in the class fee.
Ages 8 and up. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
This class meets every Monday evening in February from 6 – 7pm.
This is a “pay-what-you-can” class, which makes it possible for people of all economic backgrounds to participate. Enter your quantity below, select “Buy Now” and enter your desired payment amount on the next screen. Select “Continue” and you will have the option to pay through PayPal or a credit card.
The suggested fee for the Men’s Sewing class is $75. You will receive a donation receipt for any amount over the suggest fee. Because Make.Do. is a 501(c)3 organization, your donation may be tax deductible.
(If you have trouble at the payment screen, try opening a new browser. Paypal doesn’t always redirect correctly through social media links.)
This class requires a minimum of 4 participants. If the class is cancelled, you will have the option to use your fee for a future class or receive a full refund.
Class fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your registration more than 24-hours in advance, you can choose to (1) donate your class fee to the Pay-What-You-Can fund or (2) credit your fee to a future class. Cancellations made less than 24 hours from the time of the class will automatically be donated to the Pay-What-You-Can fund. Please email email@example.com to cancel or for more details on Make.Do.’s policy.
