Nothing says “Happy Valentine’s Day” like conversation hearts! They’re nostalgic, sweet, and combine so many random flavors (I mean, wintergreen and banana?!?!? C’mon.) Celebrate all there is to love about Valentine’s Day with this fun Conversation Hearts embroidery garland.

Supplies:
Grab a kit or gather the following supplies:
- embroidery floss
- needle
- needle threader (optional)
- 4″ embroidery hoop
- felt
- scissors
- pencil
Prep and plan.
If you purchased our Conversation Hearts Embroidery Kit, then you’re ready to go! If you’re starting from scratch, draw a heart and word on each piece of felt.
Time to stitch!
I used back stitch for all my hearts. You could also use stem stitch or go completely rogue and substitute your favorite stitch instead. I suggest using all 6 strands of your embroidery floss to make sure your stitches cover the pattern. Check out this post to learn how to use your needled threader.
String your garland.
Cut out your hearts and use the remaining embroidery floss to them together at the top. Feeling extra? Add pompoms in between! You can put your hearts as close together as you want. Or give them more space to make your garland longer.
You did it!
We want to see what you made! Be sure to tag Make.Do. if you share it on social media so we can brag on you.
