Learning how to make half square triangles (aka HSTs) will unlock infinite possibilities for your quilting projects! So many designs, like the Maple Leaf and Nordic Star blocks in this reversible table runner, are based on HSTs.

We’ll start with the Maple Leaf blocks to get a good foundation for making HSTs. Then we’ll move on to the Nordic Star and learn how to add sashing between blocks. You will make 4 to 5 of each block, depending on the size of table runner you need.

Each block will be about 12″ square. The finished size of a runner with 5 blocks is approximately 60″x12″.

This class is ideal for intermediate to advanced quilters, or anyone that has taken at least 1 intermediate quilting class at Make.Do.

Class meets Thursday nights, Oct 10 – Nov 14 from 5:30-8:30pm. We will NOT meet Oct 31. You can also come to the studio on Saturdays if you need more time.

The suggested class fee is based on 15 hours of studio time, plus fabric and batting for your table runner. Participants receive a 40% discount on class materials.

Cancellation Policy

Class fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your registration more than 24-hours in advance you can:
  1. donate your class fee to the Pay-What-You-Can fund
  2. credit your fee to a future class
  3. transfer your fee to a friend.
 
No-shows and cancellations made less than 24 hours from the class will automatically be donated to the Pay-What-You-Can fund.
