Welcome to Merry Make.Do.! This is our first time offering craft kits and tutorials so you can Make.Do. at home. Now you can participate in our mission of creativity, connection, and compassion from anywhere!
These tutorials were created to be used with our Gnome-in-a-Bag kits, but you can absolutely still participate with supplies you already have at home. Watch the first video to learn how to make your gnome and the second to create a fireplace/mantel and stocking from a cardboard box and your kit leftovers.
Coming to a class at Make.Do. is not just about the skill of creativity… it’s also about all the things the creative process itself has to offer. Since we can’t have these conversation in-person at the studio, let us share this createfull benediction instead…
Sometimes having to follow the rules takes out all the fun. We know they are there for our own good, but we don’t like being told what to do.
May creating your gnome-in-a-bag make you feel free! You can use all the fabric or just 2. If you want, you can give your gnome three braids and feet made out of beads. There is only one rule: have fun! And be careful if you are using a hot glue gun. (Ok, there are two rules.)
And the next time you feel frustrated because you have to follow the rules, remember that creativity always gives you the freedom to be and do whatever you can imagine!
We want to see what you made! Be sure to tag Make.Do. if you share it on social media so we can brag on you.
